We provide information and advice on any issue and deliver a number of specialist services in issues such as debt, benefits and employment – you may be facing a crisis, or just considering your options.

Funded by Macmillan Cancer Support, we offer a free, confidential advice to people living with cancer, their carers and relatives. We can advise on a range of issues including benefit entitlement, help with claims and Macmillan grants.

Pension Wise

We are one of 50 Pension Wise delivery centres providing face to face guidance across 500 locations in England and Wales which will help people to make sense of their pension choices.

One Team

We are members of a multi-disciplinary team who support those in the deprived areas of Taunton, and Wellington.  Debt and money advice is provided to clients as casework, and clients can also drop in at outreaches in Halcon,  Priorswood and Wellington.

MS Access to Advice

Funded by the Taunton MS Society group, this advice service exists to ensure that anyone affected by Multiple Sclerosis can easily access advice about any topic area including: benefits, debt, housing, employment, family, consumer, discrimination and more.

Universal Credit: Help to Claim

Help to Claim is a dedicated service from Citizens Advice.  It’s free, independent and confidential.  We ca help you make a new claim for Universal Credit. You can get advice online, visit us or call us on 0800 144 8444 Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm.

Debt & Mental Health

We assist people with severe mental illness who have a need for debt advice and live within a 5-mile radius of Taunton. Support in going through the debt process is provided by MIND in Somerset and grants to Taunton Aid in Sickness Fund can be made to help with practical need.

Litigants in Person

Funded by the Lloyds Bank Foundation, the Litigants in Person service exists to help people who have experienced domestic abuse but are not able to get Legal Aid, to secure the court orders they need to provide protection for themselves and their children or to obtain financial orders.

Homelessness Reduction Debt Help

Funded by SWTC this service aims to help those threatened with homelessness or already homeless who have financial difficulties. Debt advice, budgeting skills and assistance in raising income is provided.
