Charity Golf Day
Thursday 13th April 2023 from 1pm Oake Manor Golf Club – Taunton, TA4 1BA
A stableford competition for teams of up to 4 golfers followed by a 2-course meal;
WHS index preferred but not essential.

Cost is £240 for a team of x4 or £60 per player which includes 18 holes of golf, a 2-course meal and team prizes. Register and pay for entries below.
The cost for players who are 2023/24 members of Oake Manor Golf Club is £20.
All monies raised by this event will support Citizens Advice Taunton – an independent charity that supports over 7,000 people a year by providing advice to resolve their problems and improve their lives.

A Tour of the Night Sky
Learn about the night sky at an exclusive event led by amateur astronomer, Jerry Hammett view planets, constellations and galaxies
Hosted by one of our colleagues in their new art deco style home in Oake near Taunton, the evening will begin indoors with refreshments and a short presentation on star gazing by amateur astronomer, Jerry Hammett. Night sky viewing will take place on the large roof terrace of the building (access via lift or external staircase) using Jerry’s specialist equipment to get a close-up view of planets, constellations and galaxies.
Night Sky events will be held periodically during 2022 when astronomical and weather conditions are suitable.

‘Evening of Music’ Registration Form
Advice Services for Older People
The event will include presentations from experts on the benefit of advice services to wellbeing in older people, pensions, debt, benefits, costs involved with care and scams awareness.
In the light of the current public health crisis, we have decided to postpone this event from January 19th to a date in the Spring.

Barn Dance
After last year’s very successful event, we are again holding another barn dance to raise funds for Citizens Advice in Taunton.
Friday 7th July 2023 7.15pm to 10.45pm
West Monkton Village Hall,
Taunton,
TA2 8NE
Tickets are £15 per adult and £7.50 for children of 13 years and under
The price includes:
- Dancing and music from the Chris Toyne Trio
- a traditional ploughman’s meal
- a raffle.
One of our volunteers will be calling the dance moves supported by a live band – the Chris Toyne Trio. No previous experience is necessary – this is a fun event for friends and family of all ages!
There will also be a ‘cash-only’ bar with tea and coffee available too.
West Monkton Village Hall is an ideal location being close to Taunton, with plenty of parking, sprung flooring and an outside, grassed spill out area if the evening is warm.
