In light of the current situation around Coronavirus, and taking into account government guidance alongside advice from national Citizens Advice and Trustees, we reached the difficult decision to suspend all our face-to-face advice services with immediate effect.
This is not a decision we have taken lightly but we must take steps to protect our clients and staff, many of whom are particularly vulnerable. Guidance on social distancing, and the need to protect higher risk individuals in particular, means that our face-to-face advice model is not currently an option. We also wish to avoid any situation where people at higher risk of infection need to wait together in reception areas and other public spaces.
Please be assured that we are taking steps to ensure continuity of service for existing clients and we aim to continue to deliver an effective, high quality, advice service. Although we have suspended all of our face-to-face advice services, we are refocusing our resources on providing advice and support through telephone and online channels.
- Telephone – Clients can access telephone advice by calling: 03444 889623 this is a local-rate call and the line is open Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm
- Online – Clients can access digital advice by completing our advice form here
- Paperwork – Existing clients who need to provide paperwork to progress their cases can either scan/attach it to the above online advice form, or post it to us at: St. Mary’s House, Magdalene Street, Taunton TA1 1SB
