We are a charity whose twin aims are to provide advice to help people overcome the problems they face and to be the voice for our clients on issues that matter to them.
We pride ourselves on responding to any question from any client and without notice.
Quite often these questions can lead us to identify concerns over issues such as possession proceedings on family homes, rehousing for vulnerable people and endangered clients, the suspension of evictions, deposit disputes with landlords, representation at benefit and employment tribunals.
Some of these questions lead to life changing interventions requiring considerable technical and interpersonal skills. We also assist with numerous grant applications which enable clients to have furniture, appliances, clothing and so on, therefore helping people achieve a better standard of living despite extremely low incomes.

Our current Strategic Plan for 2022-2025 has the following 4 objectives:
- Develop the advice service to respond to the economic situation, and increase its reach
- Campaign for change on issues affecting our community
- Provide the best environment possible for our volunteers and paid staff to thrive
- Improve financial health
