Urgent Call for Assistance

Citizens Advice Taunton is proud to have been here for the people of Taunton and District since 1954. Now we need some help following the recent cuts announced by Somerset County Council. If you can donate even £1 it will assist us to keep on serving the community. Donations can be sent to us by post or online here. Thank you.

We are an independent charity that provides free, confidential and impartial advice for people who live and work in Taunton Deane.

Research & Campaigns
We use our client’s experience, stories and evidence to research and campaign for positive change locally.

On a national level, we work with other Citizens Advice services across the charity’s network to campaign on nationally issues.

Citizens Advice Taunton provides a range of advice services to people in the district of Taunton Deane and beyond.

Debt & Benefits Advisor 

Salary: £22,330 per annum pro rata

Hours: 15 hours (7.5 hours on Monday and Thursday)

Contract: Fixed term until July 31st 2020 (extension possible)

The role primarily involves advising clients on debt and associated issues such as benefits and budgeting. This will help clients achieve outcomes such as sustaining tenancies, managing their own affairs, and independence. The role will involve working with some vulnerable clients with complex needs.
